Department public liaison 5%
This position serves as the first point of contact for the Engineering department with all constituencies.
Serve as departmental receptionist, answering questions for prospective and current students and families.
Travel coordinator 20% As travel coordinator, it is the responsibility to process all travel requests and reimbursements and assist faculty, staff, students, and student teams with travel arrangements as necessary, using the Chrome River accounting software.
Student Hire Coordinator 20% Oversee hiring, completion and submission of hiring documents for all undergraduate and graduate student appointments and contracts, submitting EPAFs, maintaining the Student Fees and GRA budget spreadsheet.
Responsible for KRONOS approval and time records for student employees each pay period.
Department scheduler and event coordinator 5% Serve as department coordinator/organizer/scheduler for events, i.
e.
department, faculty sponsored, senior capstone design program, student organizations, and invited speakers.
Responsibilities includes all aspects of venue scheduling, ordering food, purchasing parking passes, etc.
Department Information/Database and Office supplies manager 20% Maintain Engineering Department TEAMs site, required faculty office schedules, syllabi.
Record/document department meetings and Engineering Advisory Board meetings.
Create and maintain database of current students and alumni.
Purchase/maintain office and educational supplies for faculty and staff and supplies for senior capstone design program.
Assistant to the Chair 10% The individual in this position assists the Chairperson in prioritizing and scheduling appointments, meetings, and professional activities, as well as planning luncheons, seminars, and presentations.
Assist with scheduling undergraduate and graduate engineering courses in Banner, coordinate course schedules with faculty, and classroom scheduling.
Undergraduate and Graduate Programs Assistant 20% (a).
Assist with managing the undergraduate and graduate recruiting and admissions process (b).
Assist with reporting of annual learning outcomes assessments of the undergraduate and graduate programs.

Assist with the review and update of undergraduate and graduate catalogs, and program marketing brochures.

Review and update undergraduate and graduate information on the department websites.
Minimum Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
