We are looking for a full-time Printing/Graphic Design Specialist to support our government customer in Suffolk, VA.
The candidate shall assist the Graphics Branch by providing operational support required to meet event specific, day-to-day requirements and photographic support for Staff in the Hampton Roads area of VA.
The ideal candidate will be experience in printing materials on a large scale and familiar with specific machinery and applications to create special graphics for organization.
Additional Duties:
* Consults with customers to develop original graphic design products for use in a variety of visual information products including training, administrative, and information publications, briefings, seminars, arrival/departure ceremonies, and conference material.
* Performs layout of publications and furnishes all required printer specifications such as paper, color mode (spot or process), typography, paper stock, binding, etc.
* Applies knowledge of and experience in preparing files for commercial printing and reviewing printer proofs to ensure compliance with printing specifications and quality.
* Applies extensive skill in the use of industry standard graphic design and desktop publishing software; primarily utilizing Adobe Creative Suites and CorelDRAW.
Qualifications:
* 2-3 years of knowledge of a variety of design matters to include size, layout, kind and quality of materials, medium, color schemes, typography, lighting effects, specific visual elements of materials to be incorporated, or reproduction methods.
* 2-3 years of experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suites, CorelDRAW or similar graphic design software to manipulate and create a visual illustration.
* Knowledge of installing vinyl lettering on doors and glass, spanner signs, direction signs and artwork.
* At least 2 to 3 years of experience in design, print & finish, matt, frame, &finish materials.
_A strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office main programs is highly recommended.

Education – High School Degree; Valid Drivers’ License required.
