Position Summary
Hand hygiene is the cornerstone of Infection Prevention and Patient Safety.
To that end, this role develops, coordinates, and directs all aspects of the hand hygiene program in conjunction with Infection Prevention Program leaders and other key stakeholders.
Specifically, this role utilizes principles of program coordination and management activities to develop and manage/maintain a comprehensive Hand Hygiene Program while also supporting quality and excellence in clinical practice.
This role will manage all aspects and projects of hand hygiene ranging from small projects at individual entities/units to overall system initiatives and report to key stakeholders and system leadership.
Overall, the goal of this position is to develop a vision, facilitate program development and implementation, and perform analysis to evaluate program metrics that reflect the mission of ECU Health Hand Hygiene Program.
Minimum Requirements
Requirements
Master's degree in applicable field, such as MSN, MPH, MPA, MaED, MS.
RN or MT(ASCP)/MLS(ASCP) required for nursing and clinical laboratory professionals.
More than 5 years' experience in a healthcare setting.
Certification in Infection Control within 3 years of hire and recertified every 5 years.
Other Information
Shift: May work early days, evenings, or weekend day depending on department needs
