Position Summary
Enters prescription orders into the computer system.
Reviews prescriptions for possible therapeutic problems,
contraindications, interactions, allergies, and appropriate dosing.
Discusses prescription clarifications with the prescriber or their office when necessary.
Documents actions appropriately.
Provides patient counseling regarding drug therapy.
Provides drug information to health care professionals.
Verifies the data entry and filling of all medications entered and prepared by pharmacy technicians.
Follows all federal and state laws and regulations and hospital policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
BS Pharmacy, MS Pharmacy, or Pharm.
D.
is required
1 year to 3 years in Retail Pharmacy is required.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

This is a PRN/As needed position with no benefits
Day shift
The outpatient pharmacies operate primarily Monday through Friday with the exception of one location that operate 7 days a week.
Hours range from 6:15am - 6:45pm M-Fri.
and weekends range from 8am to 4pm in some locations.
