About The East Carolina Heart Institute at ECU Health Medical Center
East Carolina Heart Institute at ECU Health Medical Center is the region's preferred facility for cardiovascular care.
The six-story tower houses clinical space, diagnostic services and cardiovascular operating rooms, including a hybrid operating room.
It features 120 beds for patients undergoing procedures for cardiac medicine, cardiac surgery and vascular surgery.
Position Summary
The Surgical Technologist maintains the integrity, safety and efficiency of the sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
As a Surgical Technologist, you will prepare and arrange instruments and supplies, as well as assist the surgeon and assistants throughout the operation by providing sterile instruments and supplies.
The Surgical Technologist attends educational programs and staff orientation which promote personal and professional development and participates in Service Excellence Program.
Minimum Requirements
Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program, Certification from a Military Program, Graduated from an accredited Nursing Program RN/LPN.
American Heart Association BLS Certification (required for OR).
Less than 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience.
Less than 2 years of experience - no CST needed.
Other Information
40 Hours per Week
Monday - Friday (7a-3p); must be able to work one 11a-7p weekday shift per week
On-Call; 1 Night per Week and 1 Weekend (Sat & Sun) per 6 week schedule period
